Recordings
When possible, and with the permission of the speaker(s), the Lectures Program makes an audio recording of events available online. Some speakers choose to limit use to Iowa State University faculty, staff, and students. Users will be prompted to enter their Iowa State University Net-ID and password to access these lectures. The Lectures Program does not currently provide live streaming or webcasts. Recordings may take up to 48 hours after the event concludes to be available for viewing online.
About Recording Services
The Lectures Program routinely records the events it cosponsors and, with the speaker's permission, makes the recording available from its website. Presenters will be asked to return a signed copy of the Recording Permission Form in advance of the event when possible. For events held in the Memorial Union ballrooms, Lectures uses Panopto lecture-capture software and mounted cameras to record and synchronize audio and visual elements, including slides and/or video. A portable lecture-capture unit is available for use in other rooms in the Memorial Union. All recording videos include FCC and ADA-compliant English captions.
The Lectures Program assists with arrangements for professional videography upon request. The cost of video services varies by provider and is the responsibility of the hosting group. Advance scheduling is required.
Archived Recordings
All available recordings before the current academic year have been sent to the University Library, and are available through their archives, available here.
