Miriam Nelson, author of the bestselling book Strong Women Stay Young, will discuss what foods you should eat to stay young and healthy as well as what types and how much exercise improves health. Her talk focuses on the latest research in the field of muscle and bone health and includes guidelines and actionable steps for older women and men in particular. Nelson served as associate dean of Tufts University’s Tisch College of Civic Life and professor of nutrition at its Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. At the Friedman School, she was the founding director of the John Hancock Research Center on Physical Activity and Obesity Prevention.
