Featured speakers in this daylong symposium include: Lori Andrews, J.D., a Distinguished Professor of Law at Chicago-Kent College of Law and director of the Institute for Science, Law and Technology at the Illinois Institute of Technology; Troy Duster, the director of the Institute for the History of the Production of Knowledge and a professor of sociology at New York University; Jeffrey Murray, MD, a professor of pediatrics at the University of Iowa whose research in human molecular genetics focuses the identification of genes and environmental factors involved in birth defects; and Karen-Sue Taussig, faculty in the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities Department of Anthropology and in the U of M Medical School.
