David Baldus, Joseph B. Tye Professor of Law at the University of Iowa College of Law, will discuss the death penalty and the United States Constitution. Mr. Baldus conducted a longitudinal study of 1,050 Georgia homicide cases from indictment in the forthcoming book The Impact of Procedural Reform in Capital Sentencing: Some Evidence from Georgia.
Gene Guerrero is the Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia. He is an expert on work place drug testing and has spoken against the program being implemented by the federal government. He will discuss other privacy issues, including the recent Supreme Court ruling on sodomy.
