Lowell Catlett is dean of the College of Agriculture and Home Economics at New Mexico State University. He holds the New Mexico State University Regents Professorship in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Business and is a 1990 winner of the Westhafter Award for Teaching, NMSU's top faculty honor. He has been a consultant for the U.S. Departments of the Interior, Defense, and Labor and has traveled internationally to consult and speak on new technologies and their implications for the way we live and work. Catlett received his PhD in economics at Iowa State University. The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Sesquicentennial Lecture and part of the Iowa State 150th Anniversary Alumni Lecture Series.
